With so many exciting things to look forward to, you may be wondering what cruise foods and vacation activities are included in a cruise on the first Icon Class ship. Check out all the great destinations you will visit on your cruise.
For starters, there’s the largest water park at sea that’s home to six record-breaking waterslides, an aqua park for kiddos that offers buckets of fun, an adults-only pools that goes long on beach-club vibes and never-before-seen culinary concepts across the ship’s various neighborhoods. I’m most looking forward to the seven pools onboard, including the largest pool at sea and the largest swim-up bar. And that’s barely scratching the surface of what the first-ever Icon Class ship has to offer. A cruise vacation is a great opportunity to go outside your comfort zone and try something new with thrilling activities like Category 6. Located in the Thrill Island neighborhood of the ship, Category 6 is a sprawling water park that encompasses six ground-breaking waterslides, including the tallest waterslide on the seas, the first open free-fall waterslide on a cruise, the first family raft slide on a ship and exhilarating mat racers, just to name a few. The best part? Guests can ride any and all of the slides as many times as they like for free.

 

If you’re like me, then it wouldn’t be a vacation without getting your adrenaline pumping. The FlowRider* is a returning favorite to Icon of the Seas℠. This huge surf simulator funnels 30,000 gallons of rushing water to create the perfect swells all day, every day. It’s one of the top free things to do on any ship that has one onboard, including the first Icon Class cruise ship. You can choose to tame the waves — and try to keep your balance — upright on your feet or hit the water boogie-style on your belly. Rides are complimentary for cruise guests, though you can also reserve lessons with an instructor for a fee.

 

The Rock Climbing Wall is one of my favourite cruise activities. It’s known for yielding some of the best views at sea, too. Located on Deck 16 in the Thrill Island neighborhood, Icon of the Seas takes rock climbing to the next level with Adrenaline Peak. It’s the ultimate rock climbing experience: a thrilling, pulse-pumping scramble to a vantage point that will wow you. It even has racing for speed climbers. Adrenaline Peak is totally free for cruise guests; anyone ages six years or older is welcome to harness up and head to the top as many times as they like.

Can you help me to secure a hotel room in Miami prior to the sailing and/or after the cruise ends in Miami?

Can I make multiple payments on my trip leading up to the journey?

Does Royal Caribbean/Icon of the Seas have an App for my phone for me to keep track of my sailing/reservation details?

What information is required to secure a cabin?

$530 CAD non-refundable deposit per cabin at the time of booking, copy of your passport, credit card, completed booking form (via the SIGN ME UP button above), dietary restrictions etc.

Do we need to make reservations for lunch/dinner on the ship?

Only for specialty dining venues

Can Gravitate Travel quote me on travel insurance to protect my cruise?

Yes, we certainly can. We work with Manulife Travel Insurance and can only quote travel insurance for those that reside in Ontario. Other Canadian residents outside of Ontario we can have one of our team across Canada quote you based on your province of residence as we are only licensed to sell travel insurance in Ontario.

What is the payment plan for this trip?

$530 CAD non-refundable deposit per cabin with balance due December 7, 2025 (ask your Gravitate Travel professional about installment plans)

Are Gratuities, Excursions, Alcoholic Beverage packages, Specialty Restaurants and Spa Services included?

Gratuities, Excursions, Alcoholic Beverages, Specialty Restaurants, Spa services and some areas of Perfect Day at Coco Cay are additional costs.

What is the standard rate for Gratuity?

The daily suggested gratuity is approx. USD 18 per person, per day.

Will the ship accommodate any special dietary/allergy concerns?
