As you traverse this elusive route from one ocean to another, you’ll gain a deeper appreciation for the fragile beauty of the Arctic and the indomitable spirit of those who dared to explore its depths.

Scotland Slowly

In the isles of Scotland, the past is present. Music, dancing, and stories. Rugged ruins. Ancient villages. Soaring seabirds. Visit mystical, coastal Scotland by ship!

Scotland, like good whisky, is best savoured slowly. Nature and culture thrive on the isles. Hear music and stories. Revel in wildlife. Absorb the scenery. Immerse yourself in history.

Explore in comfort aboard the Ocean Endeavour. Visit historic Glasgow, the Western Isles, Pentland Firth, Orkney, the Shetland islands, and Aberdeen. Learn from Scottish experts as we go.

Scotland is spectacular in springtime. June is breeding season for birds. Search for whales on a Zodiac outing. Meet the locals and get a glimpse of island life. Raise a dram at world-famous distilleries. Wander among Neolithic ruins. Explore sea caves and bird cliffs. Savour Scotland—slowly.

2025 Dates:

June 3 – 13, 2025
June 13 – 23, 2025

NOTE: This tour typically operates every second year.

You will travel through the wild islands of Scotland on this epic journey visiting some remote areas, like the Orkney Islands, St. Kilda, and the Outer Hebrides. Marvel at natural structures like Staffa and manmade structures like the Ring of Brodgar. There’s plenty of history and culture to immerse yourself in as well as mystical landscapes, and the chance to see wildlife like birds, seals, and dolphins.

Adventure Canada provides you with an outstanding opportunity to see Scotland differently from zodiacs and the ship and allows you to go to remote off-the-beaten-path islands like Fair Isle.

Greenland & Wild Labrador

Sailing south over the Arctic Circle, we are surrounded by mountains and glaciers. Greenland’s coast is sublime! Nuuk, one of the world’s northernmost capitals, offers shopping, dining, and handicrafts. Crossing the Davis Strait to Canada, we visit Torngat Mountains National Park.

This jewel in the Canadian park system is the first and only national park in Canada to be staffed completely by Inuit. We’ll honour this monumental achievement while hiking and exploring the deep fjords with Inuit hosts. Our southerly journey will follow the rugged Labrador coast.

Across the Strait of Belle Isle in Newfoundland, we’ll roam North America’s only authenticated Norse site before sailing the picturesque coast of northeast Newfoundland.

2025 Dates:

September 17 – October 1, 2025

This tour allows you the chance to visit vibrant communities like Nuuk as well as experience the seldom-visited Torngat Mountains where less than 500 visitors go each year (a significant amount of which come from Adventure Canada expeditions).

Hear all about this amazing tour from a past traveller.

A journey from Kangerlussuaq, Greenland to Kugluktuk, Nunavut. Our fleet of Zodiacs will take us where the action is—into the heart of history. Our voyage begins in Greenland, home to mighty icebergs, dramatic fjords, and calving glaciers! Colourful villages offer a rich culture.

Crossing the Davis Strait, we’ll explore the Baffin Island coast. We’re on the watch for whales, birds, and bears. Visit Franklin expedition graves at Beechey Island. Follow in the wakes of Franklin, Rae, Amundsen and many more polar explorers.

Meet the Inuit who call the Arctic home. Travel with scientists, artists, musicians, local culturalists, and historians—all of whom are drawn magnetically north. Sail the great sea-route at the top of the world. The Northwest Passage calls you, too!

Out of the Northwest Passage

The Northwest Passage is one of the world’s greatest voyages. Our fleet of Zodiacs guarantees excitement with every excursion.

The Arctic is calling. Pristine fjords. Looming glaciers. Jagged icebergs. Grand vistas, historic sites, graves, and abandoned outposts. Marine mammals, bears and birds… wonders await. You will find a warm welcome in Nunavut’s communities, and Greenland offers geology, geography, and culture with a European flair.

Every day is a new adventure when sailing the Northwest Passage; hiking, photography, birding. Exploring archaeology and spotting bears. Visiting villages perched on mighty mountains. Learning with our experts. Meeting the people who call the Arctic home. And sailing the passage at the top of the world!

An iconic bucket-list checker for many travellers, you will experience a diverse range of landscapes, wildlife, icebergs, and history. This is THE one expedition to the Arctic that will not want to miss out on. The Out of Northwest Passage (starting in September) gives you a better chance to witness the northern lights as the midnight sun starts to fade away as fall sets in. This path follows the polar explorers, features sites like Beechey Island and goes the furthest north of all the Adventure Canada itineraries.

Don’t take our word for it, listen as a past adventurer shares their journey with Adventure Canada.
